Wow its almost been a year

Okay so I have said it before I stink at keeping people updated on this blog... i will now blame facebook as i tend to spend a lot of time on there...

Well a lot has changed since I last wrote on here and I have tried to write before but I couldnt remember the password or the email address in which I used but all of a sudden it came to me tonight of all nights when I should be sleeping.

We are now in Kitchener ON where Geoff started back to school in septemeber and will be finished next fall . He will then be a computer network person I have no idea what that intails at all even though he explains a lot of it to me.

I am back to work and I enjoy it most days when people are not asking stupid questions... fyi if you pick up a boot in a shoe store and it feels un-naturally heavy there is a weight inside so please be kind to the sales people and dont say"oh my this is so heavy i like it but I could never walk in it".... I make fun of you in the back room ...lol

Ethan has changed quite a bit since I last blogged.... first off not only can he crawl but he can walk and talk and turn on the wiggles on vhs all by himself... He eats like a horse most days and is constantly asking for more... which is code for I am hungry still feed me ..His favorite word by far would be no... in particular if you ask if he needs a bum change.

We have found a church that we really like and that is made up of mostly young families which is nice because that means there are lots of kids inparticular lots around ethans age and who happen to be boys.. with only a few girls to play with .

Well that is a quick update on us and I promise to try to blog better.

Is it really any wonder that I suck at keeping my blog updated... I could never even journal or keep a diary for very long. Good grief the last time I wrote anything Ethan was only a few weeks old. he is now almost 8 months. If you have given up on me I dont mind...

So Ethan is much bigger now ... I cant say for sure how much he weighs just more then the 19lbs 4.8oz that he did at his 6 month check up.

Since the last blog.... he has cut four teeth and is working on the next four. he can crawl backwards hasnt figured out the whole forward thing yet. loves to stand up and is a wiggle worm. He can say a few words although he doesnt use them all the time... he can say mum mum and mummie when really upset, dada and nannnann, and bad. and when he took a trip to alberta with two of his second cousins and Great aunt and Uncle and mommy he said yuck at some food he was trying... which was quite funny

he does eat some table foods as well as baby food and his formula when he is not sick.

We are heading to kitchener ontario at the end of next month. A new adventure for us. we are looking forward to it and because I am anal almost everything is packed and ready to go.

He's Here

Okay so I am about a week late in writing this but oh well.
Our bundle of joy came on his due date August 20th at 2:49pm weighing 8lbs 3oz
I went to the hospital at 6am and was there for the long haul.
we had great nurses while we were there and I had one shot of morphine and no epidural ,no gas no nothing. so proud of me.
He is growing quite quickly as he eats lots and lots . not really all that fussy although he is starting to figure that part of his life out.
He has spent time with two of his great aunts and his great Grandma strain as well as his nan and pop, and uncle Greg . His Grandma and Grandpa Roffel and his Aunt shona and Uncle J.
He has even had visits from some of his second cousins ... one in particular keeps coming back so he must really love Ethan.
we have gone out lots as mommy spent three long weeks in the house before he came and he loves being in his car seat and going places.
Daddy has gone back to work and mommy is desperatly trying to figure out a sheduale to get all the house work done that needs to be done along with taking naps to have energy for those late night feedings.

Baby update

Well well well
I guess I should update everyone. I had my 38 week appointment today . it was really good. the worst part was having to wait an hour over my appointment time to see the dr.
Ethan is still head down which is good news he has been this way since about febuary or march apparently he wants to come out soon.
everything else with us is great.
we are paitently awaiting his arrival and everything is ready for him to show up.
Geoff is still working with the Salvation Army's Booth center in winnipeg and I am going on my third week of mat leave. I am bored but thats okay cause soon I wont be able to be bored.

the casting

quick note

Okay so tonight was the night to make the cast of my belly and it started out great until..... I needed to throw up my dinner. poor geoff had to hold the bowl while I was throwing up my mcdonalds. then he was sick. the casting has turned out really good so far i will post some pictures of it very soon. it will be a while before it is completely dry probably tommorow but I will post before its painted and of course after when its all finished.
